Modeling Contest

There is a large desire to put the focus on tools that solve real planning and scheduling problems.

The main effort made in the preparation of the modeling track of the knowledge engineering competition is an attempt to come up with an interesting range of benchmark domains: domains that are motivated by applications, and that are diverse in structure.

Below is a summary of domains that will participate in the competition and an exposition of each simulator

Downloads of publicable available simulator executables are expected soon.

Each simulation will have its own API so that competitors can create plans in the appropriate form for ingestion by the simulators. The API is NOT uniform across simulations (it covers XML, PDDL, and others)
